A Blog is Born

Someone (Valerie) told me that I should start a blog (or write a memoir), but I wasn't 100% convinced since the majority of my [good] stories involve people that I would rather not mention by name.  Do the rest of my stories deserve an audience?  I'm not so sure, so my plan is to just not tell anyone about this blog for awhile and use it as sort of as a journal.  This means it could end up like every other journal I've ever started in my life - unfinished and forgotten.  Of course there's also the possibility that it will be more than just another abandoned project - and with that burst of optimism, I will publish my my first post! :-)
